What music would soldiers listen to or what musicians/performers came to the bases while they were away at war?

Three of the top five songs in 1939 were Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow," Kate Smith singing "God Bless America," and "When the Saints Go Marching In" by Louis Armstrong. I imagine those could have been some of the most popular amongst WWII vets.
