My War Stories
1951 Enlisted in the Navy in 1951 during the Korean War. Did basic at Great Lakes in January then to west coast Miramar Naval Air Station then CV-36 Antietam. Got back June 1952 then on four different carriers. CV-10 Yorktown, CV-20 Bennington when it exploded in 1954, CVS-38 Shengri La, and CV-12 Hornet. Was radar control fire technician.
